More About Me...

Hi, my name is Harlem and this is the companion website for the Fresh Ubuntu Podcast. I am the host of the show and along with my co-host Peter, we do a somewhat weekly account about anything that has to do with Ubuntu. Thanks for dropping by the site. Feel free to have a look around and click on some of the great links on the site. Enjoy!

Another Tid-Bit...

One last thing - I started the podcast in July of 2006, and we have been going strong since then. Initially, it started as my first forays into linux, but now has grown up a bit by delivering the best news, how-to's, and tutorials - all with a bent towards the Ubuntu distro. Subscribe for free using iTunes or other podcast receiver. Thanks again for dropping by!

Geat podcast today and I truly wish I could do more podcasts like this, just plain old banter and verbal jousting. Maybe in the summer when I get really lazy:) So, here is a little background on the podcast. Initially we were going to have the roundtable this week, but it coincided with the Ubuntu Developers Summit which is taking place in Prague in what was formerly known as “Czechoslovakia” and currently know as the Czech Republic (okay so my forte is not world geography). However, the fellas joining us who were scheduled to join us for the roundtable did not receive the memo that we were postponing the show and joined in the fun anyway. And those folks were Alan Pope and Dave Walker of the Ubuntu-UK Podcast. They happily provided some useful banter and unusual insight on the news. As peter stated, it was the longest news segment ever but we both agreed that it was just a long banter session with a little bit of news tossed in for flavor. I will also have them along next week as well during our roundtable. so here are the links to the show and I hope you enjoyed the podcast.

this is to whoever edited the last podcast. where you drunk or high? there were several repeat splices, and a few spices that didn’t even make since. and one of the guys in prague, forgot which one, everytime he spoke it was broken up. do you guys not listen to the show after you edit it? anyways, i’m done ranting. lol

Peter, WoW runs great under wine on my system. several tutorials floating around.

  3. Marc Ferguson Says:

It’s amazing how WoW runs great in my RPM-based, Fedora 8 system. I think you may have more Fedora listeners than you think. I offered to help earlier, but let’s talk about how to get WoW running on your system. That was the only thing keeping me dual-booted and now-a-days I’m a full linux user - using VirtualBox for interacting with legacy (ahem… Windows) system.

Oh, what’s your WoW location? My name is Marfejokin, a night elf priest, on the Blackwater Raiders realm.
