User Feedback on Hardy Heron
It’s been a week now on since the release of Hardy Heron and the user reviews are pouring in! Lots of good feedback from listeners are providing me and the listeners as well about the tribulations and the pitfalls of the new LTS release of Ubuntu. Mostly positive feedback from my listeners but there was an undercurrent of surprise and even disappointment with the Ubuntu developers. Still, as always, I give them a bit of leeway on this. Just as my guest/co-host Jason Watkins stated in the podcast, “for what I pay for Ubuntu, I will cut them some slack and let a couple of things slide”. I, for one, agree and for the most part the issues will resolve itself in a matter of weeks if not days. Here are the links although not necessarily in any order so I must apologize in advance.

Hi-Guys,
Just upgraded to K-HH 8.04 from Gutsy on my dell desktop 4550. All went well!!! YEAH!!
I’m listening to you now via Kubuntu. Glad to see 8.04 came with VLC player….Though, I still “can’t” listen to all my shows!!! I have no control in vlc player, just plays stammering and can’t forward through to more content!!
All running via vm ware. Hope that’s not the problem??
Great show, guys,,,,,keep us trained out here….We need it…

Did an upgrade (5 or so hours, even 3 days after release date). Updated fine, but didn’t keep an old version of Firefox and That had to be re-tweaked.
