Shownotes

Yes, I know it has been several days since the release of Gutsy Gibbon and I am finally coming out with the release episode of the podcast. What can I say? Well, first off, Peter and I were frantically downloading the new release, him during the podcast and I after the podcast. I mentioned that I was switching over to Xubuntu on my laptop ,and, I did, but quickly switched back to Ubuntu when I just couldn't handle the unfamiliarity. I will go back to Xubuntu perhaps mid-cycle so that more bugs can be fixed. My main problem was seeing other computers on the network. I fiddled around with it a few hours but couldn't get it to work so I decided it was in my best interest to put it aside for now and install Ubuntu. I have since done that and everything is back up to speed. I am interested in what you all have to say about the release so feel free to leave a comment in the blog, or you can send us an email to freshubuntu@gmail.org. Furthermore you can actually send a voicemail to 17752629332 if you have skypeout or gizmoproject with some minutes on it. Well, enjoy the podcast!

You should try using gwget

You should try using gwget instead of default firefox downloader. Just a thought in such cases...

@ Stas - Great tip I will try it next time:)

@ saltieri - Thanks for the kind words, I am liking what I see of gutsy also. With each release it is becoming more and more polished.
