More About Me...

Hi, my name is Harlem and this is the companion website for the Fresh Ubuntu Podcast. I am the host of the show and along with my co-host Peter, we do a somewhat weekly account about anything that has to do with Ubuntu. Thanks for dropping by the site. Feel free to have a look around and click on some of the great links on the site. Enjoy!

Another Tid-Bit...

One last thing - I started the podcast in July of 2006, and we have been going strong since then. Initially, it started as my first forays into linux, but now has grown up a bit by delivering the best news, how-to's, and tutorials - all with a bent towards the Ubuntu distro. Subscribe for free using iTunes or other podcast receiver. Thanks again for dropping by!

Update on Fresh Ubuntu

So now that the summer is winding down I just want to ready everyone for the continuation of what I believe will be a year to remember. Also, the site got “Stumbled” and sent a lot of traffic my way, so I want to thank the “stumblers” who stopped by and took a look at the site and podcast. I know it had a long way to go, which is what I will be doing in the coming months. I am hoping to build on the strengths of the site and podcast. I am also bringing in a couple of folks to the podcast and to the blog. You might have met one already, his name is Tim, and he has been doing some of the photography and recording. The other is Peter who lives on the east coast and is a computer consultant by day and was initially involved with another podcast called the MacNu podcast. It has since pod-faded and so he decided, with my prodding, to join my podcast with his own segment called “Man Page Minute”. I am looking forward to what the year has in store for us. Look for bigger and better things to happen on The Fresh Ubuntu Podcast this year.

Back to school

You now might be wondering about the show and why there hasn’t been one for awhile. Well, partly my fault, I was waiting for my kids to go back to school so that I could do the podcast and still have my kids recognize me. Now that they are back in school look for a more regular schedule. My goal is to have at least two to three episodes per month whether it is just me by myself or with my friends. Hopefully they will feel the same way but I understand that we all have lives to live. I do have a podcast abut Free Geek which is a beautiful operation in Portland, Oregon you have that to look forward to.

Okay, enough for now, I will be posting more frequently look forward to interacting more with the community int he coming year. Talk to you again soon.
